Two response to two questions on the day after, follow this graphic;
- Can a soldier trust Obama
- Mr. Flournoy's oped in Lufkin Times and my response on the day after
- Ken Scarborough Mike...please tell me....honest question...why my beloved grandson who is now in the military should give Obama one ounce of trust as his Commander in Chief....real question.
- Mike Ghouse Ken Scarborough,
We have worked together and we have a relationship. I care about your Grandson, and have taken the time time to respond as best as I can to assure him that he serving the nation is the right thing to do.
You grandson has every reason to trust President Obama; the Commander in chief, let me share two choices:
What happened in Benghazy is pathetic and tragic. Obama has promised to get those criminals and he will get them, as he did Bin Laden and Awalaki.
Obama operates on the age old philosophy, that Mother Teresa talked about and another saint yeons ago had said, if you want the enemy gone, talk with them, make friends, they will be gone for good, if you fight, both of you will be fighting for generations. No one will be at peace.
Unlike Bush, who bombed the heck out of Iraq, sacrificed 5000 of our soldiers, millions of the others, destroyed the other nations and completely messed up our economy - he piled up $10 trillion in debt where as President Clinton had left with a balanced budget.
Obama is doing the right thing, he got Bin Laden without collateral damage, no American or Pakistani or Yemeni was killed, and no display of hate followed that, and he has pulled the troops out of Iraq and will do the same in Afghanistan.
Please share this with your grandson, if you agree with it, Obama is for safety of our soldiers, he values their life and brings them back home, he will not antagonize the wars, and do the mindless bombing, but surgically get the bad guys without invoking revenge seeking from the bombed. He will not even kill our soldiers to kill the Iranians - neither will be killed but the job will be done.
When you grandson returns, he has the best veteran’s package ever, thanks to Obama's commitment to treat those who fight for our liberties. Obama cares for the veterans and he will do more than any other president has done. You son will be proud of serving this president.
Obama’s foreign policy must be admired.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mike-ghouse/chaotic-romney-and-stable-obama_b_1998900.html
Ken, Republican's baseless hate for Democrats should not cause them to denigrate the president nor hesitate giving him the credit.

Scott Braddock - Your intro surprises me
I wish you had not said, "the greatest op-ed"
ever penned. Mr. Flournoy, has expressed his opinion as he saw it with his
limited vision, and we need to acknowledge and respect it, but not accept
it. If you would like me to write a full
rebuttal, I will be happy to do that.
Obama has actually restored the freedom to the nation. A
woman can choose what she can do with her body to abort or not to abort, no
conservative GD government should tell her or what to do ...to prevent her from
having her freedom.
Let the GLBT live their lives, in pursuit of their
happiness, Obama brought liberation to them, rather Obama has restored the
spirit of our constitution, those right wingers wanted to tell whom you can
marry or not...
What is insurance? A capitalistic instrument to spread
the risk... taxation is no different, a capitalistic instrument to uplift those
who are in the ditches, an investment to convert them into consumers, so we can
grow the economy.... the cost of emergency room is far greater than bringing
health security to America.
The right wing hate for democrats should not make them
overlook their flaws... and say things that don't make sense.
Scott, the good news is, I am committed to bring
moderation, common sense and pluralistic attitudes to the Republican Party, I
will do my share and have begun the process. It’s all at
www.TheGhousediary.com, I am a Republican, a moderated one who voted for Obama,
like million other Republicans who are sick of the takeover of our party by the
extremist elements.
Need I go further? Foreign policy?.
Mr. Flourmoy is not fully informed.
