The most beautiful thing that will happen tonight is an expression of our civility, which is the highlight of our democracy, a lesson other nations are looking to emulate. It is one of my best pieces on Pluralism, published in Dallas Morning news today, "how do we come together as one, after the elections?". http://theghousediary.blogspot.com/2012/11/after-election-how-do-we-become-one_6.html

Republican Rally would be good, except the President and a few judges, I voted mostly Republican from Senate, to Congress down to judges. One the other hand, I need to build relations with the Democratic rally and wanted to see the composition of the people. So, I went to the Democratic Rally... many familiar people! I felt at home, as I have felt in every setting and this is a jubilant feeling that I do not feel barriers anywhere I go. It was so good to see every thing I aspire at the Unity day; people of every faith, race, ethnicity.... you name it, it was there. Then I was wondering, what would it be like at the Republican rally? All white, with a few others, including me if I were there? The two conventions were witness to that. http://theghousediary.blogspot.com/2012/11/today-i-voted-for-barack-obama.html
I was apprehensive in the first two hours watching Romney in the lead, but then when Obama jumped from 144 to nearly 175, it perked me up, the crowds were going crazy... Obama won 304 Electoral Votes against 201 of Romney, and he also hit the ceiling of 50% with 62 Million some votes and Romney was behind with about 600,000 votes.
It took nearly 30 minutes for Romney to wake up from the Romnesia to give the concession speech. People were frustrated, and it was getting late night, and Obama held off until Romney gave the concession speech, a tradition that has been around, but I have witnessed in the last 30 years time and again.
Obama's speech was everything I expected, indeed, a few of his thought were similar to mine, written in this article, http://theghousediary.blogspot.com/2012/11/after-election-how-do-we-become-one_6.html it was a glorious evening indeed.
Here is Obama's speech.
Here is Obama's speech.
The best summary of Obama's accomplishment, if you are an independent, you have got to see this. it even beats President Clinton's boost in the convention. Momentarily I was angry watching this, why did not they not do this before... why isn't Obama bragging this. Had she done this show a month ago, it would have been a slam dunk for Obama. You have got to watch this... President Obama has brought a mega change in foreign policy, the best in 60 years! No one has highlighted that. However I have done that at Huffington post.
