Sean Hannity and Mike Ghouse on Radio about Muslims are America's best anti-terror weapon.

Sean Hannity and Mike Ghouse
www.TheGhouseDiary.com

My talking points:

As an American who believes in limited government, resents intrusions in one’s life and resists invasion of liberty, I think this idea of police presence in “Muslim areas” is downright stupid.

Let me tell you why, we had 355 mass murderers in 2015 in a population of 322 million Americans that equals 1.1 mass murderers for every million Americans. There are 4 Million Muslims in America, and if we go by proportionality there should have been 4.4 Muslim mass murderers, but there was only one in San Bernardino.

The more we integrate, the more we become one; we rise and fall together in goodness and crimes. It is senseless to allocate our resources for this one guy and ignore 354 mass murderers, who are part of the mainstream Americans.

Should I cry over the low intelligence of Ted Cruz? Has anyone checked out his IQ or Trump’s?  Where did he come up with the idea of “Muslim Neighborhoods?” There is no such thing as Muslim neighborhood, with the exception of a few neighborhoods in Texas, Muslims live amidst all other Americans in regular normal neighborhoods, and that is the right thing to do. But there is no exclusive Muslim neighborhood that I can find.

I was a manger for a home builder in Carrollton, Texas, and in phase 1, we built 113 Homes, the mosque was on the other side of the street.  Only three families bought homes there for elderly couples to walk to the Mosque.

Congressman –Peter King’s investigation of Mosques in New York fell flat on his face. They had agents Planted in the Mosques in New York, they could not find any evidence of the extremism, the report says.

By the way, Muslims get double shaft every time a terrorist blows himself up and hurts other innocent by standers. First they become suspect and second their religion gets maligned.  Muslims should be appreciated, because of the doubling down on them, they go the extra length to report, check with FBI, and nearly 2/3rds of bad guys were reported by Muslims.  We don’t want any one of those turds amidst us. We have a greater interest in getting rid of them than anyone else.

The New York Post writes, “By refusing to step up legitimate, community-oriented policing in Muslim neighborhoods, we’re doing a disservice to our Muslim citizens.” That is bull crap, 345 mass murderers from the mainstream community and one from the Muslims community are embedded among us, it is dumb to focus on one and ignore 354.

I severely criticize the dumbness of this statement “This threat may have originated in the Middle East, but after Paris, San Bernardino and Brussels, we know that our enemies are now embedded among us. If it’s politically incorrect to go searching for terrorists where we can reasonably expect terrorists to be, then political correctness will kill us.

That is bull crap, 345 mass murderers from the mainstream community and one from the Muslims community is embedded among us, it is dumb to focus on one and ignore 354.

Texas Faith - Commander in Chief or Preacher in Chief

Is God a villain of Jeb Bush, Carson, Kasich, Fiorina, Paul, Huckabee, Santorum and others? Is God a friend of Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio?
Here is my write up at Dallas Morning News  published February 16, 2016.
MIKE GHOUSE, Foundation for Pluralism
My father’s words jumped at me when I read the phrase, “outward professions of faith.”
He was a mayor as well as a respected uncle of the town, and everyone came to him with their problems for solutions. It was a small town called Yelahanka, a suburb of Bengaluru, India. Obviously the majority was Hindus, but we had Muslims, Sikhs, Zoroastrians, Jains, Christians and the Dalits.
Every time someone came and said, “Believe me, I am a good Christian, Hindu, Muslim or a ….” My father’s ears would perk up, and he would become extra vigilant. After the individual left the house, he would tell my mother, “I am still waiting for an individual who would say, I am an honest guy and I have this problem with the other person. He would add I rather believe the person who does not profess “outward professions of faith”; Why does he need to use God or a religious shield?
Indeed, my ears perk up when I encounter those who wear their religion on their sleeve. In fact, a handful of imams, rabbis, priests, and pastors have not failed me in my caution, no one has robbed me, but they have not been truthful to their congregations in my interfaith interactions with them.
When Ted Cruz said, “Let me first of all say, to God be the glory” and Marco Rubio uttered “my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Is God favoring these two over others? Is God a villain of Jeb Bush, Carson, Kasich, Fiorina, Paul, Huckabee, Santorum and others?
God expression should be personal and not for public consumption. God loves each one of us equally and does not favor one over the other. If he does, we don’t need a prejudiced, discriminatory God like that. Would God place an individual in the White House to carpet-bomb civilians elsewhere or bomb the nations to the ground? Heavens no, God is not in the business of bombing people. He has given us the discretion: Some get it, and some don’t. We the people need to elect those who are determined to preserve harmony of the creation be it among individuals, between nations and the environment.
When God created animals, he gave them horns, fangs and paws to settle their disputes with an attitude of you survive or I. But when he created humans, he did not give us fangs, paws or horns to fight, but a tongue to talk and resolve our disputes. Anyone who wants to bypass talks need not be our president.
Cruz and Rubio (and others) are running for public office and not the pulpit. I have seen politicians of all religions deliberately use God in their language. It may be a part of their nature to make God expressions, but when they say it in public, making it obvious for the camera, I question their sincerity. Maybe God is all that’s left to rescue them rather than their record or their abilities. Should I trust a candidate because he or she invokes God or because he or she is capable?
Please don’t invoke God in the public for the purpose of show, unless you are God deficit and need God to side with you to hurt others.

Sicko Politicians about Supreme Court nominee and their Joke

ARE WE SICK OF THE POLITICIANS? ENJOY THE JOKE No one seems to be clean, neither Democrats nor Republicans. We need a new breed of people to run for public office – they go in there to serve a maximum of two terms, if they are elected at the end of the first term if not take a hike. No one should sit there to become a professional politicians bought out by the interest groups, get out and let others serve. They need to put America first, and not their interests. I dislike the words “Powerful Senator” or “Long term serving congressman” both are anti-democratic. We need Senators and Congressmen who serve and not flaunt around their bloody power. Mitch McConnell, the Republican Senate majority leader jumped the gun and flat out said he will oppose any of Obama’s nominees to replace Justice Scalia at the Supreme Court that was ugly bad; he has a record of saying that his only purpose in Senate is to defeat Obama. Is this the reason he wants the power? Chuck Schumer, the Democratic Senator said identical things 8 years ago to Bush that he cannot nominate a Supreme Court Judge in the last year of his election. Now, the news findings are Democratic senate had voted against it in 1960. Hypocrites or idiots, they need to look into their own pants before calling others dirty. Ted Cruz lied about not confirming any nominee in 80 years, whereas it has happened plenty of times. CBS News guy established the fact and did not give any leeway to the candidates. Last night, Jeb and George Bush were on Sean Hannity, repeating the same BS – which it has not happened in 80 years. All the Republican Presidential candidates ‘believe’ the same lie and the only thing they are offering to Americans is to undo what Obama has done, a bunch of destructors. They have nothing constructive to offer. Hillary has a lot of baggage on her back; I don’t know how she is going to shake it off, though she is better than all the candidates on the other side. I had a high opinion of Jeb, but the more he opens his mouth, the more he doubles down on his imbecile statements, no one can justify the lies his brother said and he keeps defending him. That does not sit well with a majority of Americans. For the sake of dignity, I wish GW had stayed out of public eye, Trump will attack him, even though I did not like the actions of President Bush, I won't like Trump denigrating him in public either. Sanders seemed clean, but the new revelations are he opposed the Iraqi war but had voted to fund it, same goes with Homeland funding. Where is a clean politician? Here is a joke, a man was riding a horse in a Cannibal country, he was hungry and stops at a road side restaurant with a big Menu board that said – Teacher’s Ribs $10, Preacher’s Ribs $15, and Politician’s Ribs $25. The man was puzzled with such a huge difference in price, so he asks the owner of the restaurant why the politician’s ribs are twice more expense than Teachers? The man replied – have you ever cleaned one of those things?

Texas Faith - Religious liberty vs equal rights in Houston. Is it ever right to subpoena religious sermons?

Let me throw in the monkey’s wrench here, what if a Mosque was delivering sermons that cause disturbance in the society, should the Mosque hide behind First Amendment and not share its sermons? We all should be open to scrutiny for public good and need to protect the rights of the individuals that are being violated. Mike Ghouse

TEXAS FAITH: Religious liberty vs equal rights in Houston. Is it ever right to subpoena religious sermons?
By Wayne Slater
wslater@dallasnews.com
Published at Dallas Morning News 12:55 pm on October 21, 2014 | Permalink

The city of Houston sparked a firestorm when it subpoenaed the sermons of five pastors who led opposition to the city’s equal rights ordinance. Christian conservative groups and politicians, including Attorney General Greg Abbott and Sen. Ted Cruz, denounced the action as an attack on religious liberty. Faced with the criticism, the city amended its subpoenas to remove any mention of “sermons.” But it still seeks “all speeches or presentations related to” the ordinance and a petition drive aimed at repealing it.

Opponents had mounted the petition drive but the city ruled there weren’t enough valid signatures to put the repeal issue on the ballot. Opponents filed suit. The case is set for trial in January.

The ordinance bans discrimination by businesses that serve the public and in housing and city employment. Religious institutions are exempt. Critics complain the ordinance grants transgender people access to the restroom of their choice in public buildings and businesses, excluding churches.

Mayor Annise Parker says the city wasn’t trying to intrude on matters of faith. She says it just wants to know what pastors advised folks about the petition process. But critics are deeply suspicious the Houston subpoena could set up a test case aimed at revoking the tax exemption of religious organizations that advocate political activity the government doesn’t like.

What to make of the balancing act between the city’s effort to defend its equal rights ordinance and pastors who encouraged people to oppose it in speeches and correspondence?

What are the limits, if any, of religious leaders to speak out as a matter of religious faith without facing a government subpoena?

We asked our Texas Faith panel of religious leaders, theologians, academics and faith-based activists what they thought of the clash between faith and politics in Houston. Their responses: diverse and provocative.

“I celebrate the courage of preachers who, like the ancient prophets, become critics of the political system,” said one Texas Faith panelist.

But another said: “Foolish paranoid irrationality aside, the city of Houston does not restrict preachers’ ability to pontificate on why some people should be given human rights, but others should not.”

And there was this: What if they had been mosques? Would Ted Cruz & Co. have been so quick to proclaim religious liberty?

If you think there’s consensus – even among those in the faith community – you’re wrong.

MIKE GHOUSE, President, Foundation for Pluralism and speaker on interfaith matters, Dallas

The problem started when the City of Houston passed an ordinance prohibiting discrimination against transgender identity in accessing restroom facilities in public and private employment.

The religious folks took it as an infringement of their rights protected under the First Amendment and started the petition to do away the ordinance or put it on the ballot as a referendum.  Mayor Parker called in for the sermon notes to build up her case to stick with the ordinance, and then backed off saying that it was not the sermons but the notes.

The mayor ought to stick with the subpoenas with sermon notes and not let the issue be derailed; it will be a long drawn battle about First Amendment rights, but what we forget is those rights are in place when they do not violate the rights of others.

Let me throw in the monkey’s wrench here, what if a Mosque is delivering sermons that may cause disturbance in the society, should the Mosque hide behind First Amendment and not share its sermons? We all should be open to scrutiny for public good and need to protect the rights of the individuals that are being violated.

We have come a long way in becoming a civil society, one by one; we are becoming what God wanted us to be – to respect all his creation supported by our declaration that all men are created equal.  It took us nearly 150 years to recognize that women were equal citizens, then the African Americans, and after many more recognitions we are reaching the pinnacle of civility by including the GLBT community as equal in every aspect of life and honor their legitimate needs in a civil society.

Here is a possible solution, in the process of becoming the most civilized nation, among other things, we have banned smoking, we have built ramps for handicapped individuals in public and private facilities, even though the percent of users is few and far in between. Now, we may consider adding a bathroom facility for the transgender. Let every American live in dignity.

The civility of a society is determined by how it protects its women, minorities, children, poor, the weak and the unprotected. In brutal societies, the state or the mob has all the rights, whereas the ordinary citizens don’t, and are subjugated to the whims of the mob. In civil societies on the other hand, the value of unprotected individuals is equal to the value of the ones in power or majority.

It is the responsibility of a society to safeguard the rights of individuals in their pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.  The civility of a society is reflected in fulfilling that requirement.

Obamacare Is Good for America, Time for Republicans to Realize It

Huffington Post - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mike-ghouse/obama-care-is-good-for-am_b_4082498.html

I am a moderate Republican, and am here to tell you, that neither I, nor the Republicans or the Americans gave permission to Ted Cruz to turn the nation upside down, we cannot break the rules and do what we please. You and I are safe today, and our government remains a model of stability to the world because we are a nation of laws. We have systems to follow, a due process to hang on to, and rules to obey.

This act cannot be approved by conservative Republicans either, who prefer stability over chaos, and are disciplined enough to follow a system. That is how democracies work.

Ted Cruz sounds like a class room bully who frightens the kids and gets away with it. He is indeed excess baggage of the Republican Party that can be done with. Can the Senate or the president fire him? The answer is obviously no, because we have a due process to do everything, and it is embarrassing that the Republicans got bullied by him, and even the conservatives threw the system of due process out the door. It is not good for the country, it brings chaos.

Shame on me and fellow Texas Republicans for voting him in, but 2018 is not too far, we will do the right thing, but do it respectfully obeying the law of the land.

The prime responsibility of Government is to protect her citizens from external and internal enemies -- the external being other nations attacking us, and we need not worry, we have got the best defense forces in the world. However, we are not defending millions of Americans with our #1 internal enemy; disease, which is crippling productivity of Americans from contributing to the greatness of America.

My fellow Republican need to understand that a healthy America makes us a productive Americans, the health care is an investment in human capital, and not a charity or subsidy. A corporation would rather have productive employees than the ones who get sick frequently and lower its productivity. It behooves for us to invest in the health care, even it were totally paid for by our taxes. Healthy Americans makes a healthy America.

The Affordable Care Act is not a political issue. It is neither Republican nor Democratic, it is an American issue, and it has two dimensions; legal and human.

It is illegal to drive on the wrong side of the road, it is illegal to go 40 MPH in a school zone during the school hours and it is illegal to rob the bank at gun point. It is illegal to bust onto Capitol Hill and stop their proceedings; it is illegal to stop the congressman from doing his duty if we don't like him or her. It is illegal to mess with the established systems.

The Affordable Care Act was passed by the Congress, the Senate and signed by the president and ratified by the Supreme Court. It is a shame that few of the Republicans to claim that no Republican voted for it, that is gross disrespect to our system. We honor all the legislations passed by the elected representatives. This is a dishonorable act on the part of the few and illegal. Shouldn't there be consequences for breaking the law? Shouldn't I be arrested if I block Ted Cruz from entering his office and doing his job just because I don't like him?

The human side of the equation is inhuman, that these nuts continue to be rewarded with a paycheck, and deny the same to 2 million federal workers. I was listening to NPR, some congresswoman said, she has got to have her paycheck because her son goes to college, what about the 2 million Americans, and don't they have kids? Why should you be bloody special?

Then my own story -- I could not afford the expensive health insurance, and was hit by a massive heart attack on July 9 this year and will be indebted for life to pay those bills. Then they say I needed a Quad-pass surgery and I was tense, and did not want to get into debt, no one would sell me the insurance. Thank God for the affordable health care, my wife found me the company to insure me with the pre-existing conditions. I am paying $380/month compared to $800 quotes I had received before. There are millions of Americans out there who can't even afford that.

What Republicans need is an education in business besides basic biology and mathematics. We need to understand that the economy expands with volume and brings prosperity to everyone. If we make insurance affordable, the enrollment volume will pay for it, there is more money in the piggy bank to even out with the consumption. Then of course, a healthy America is good for the economy, good for business and good for the American spirit.

Video on Youtube

I urge my fellow Republicans and Americans to call on the Congress and demand to reopen the government. I have sent faxes and published the same. Please remember evil exists not because of men like Ted Cruz, but because of men and women like you and I, who do nothing. What are we afraid of doing the right thing? Please pick up the phone and make the call to your representative. You can find his or her number at here.
