Domestic policy and the Presidential candidates

If we look at these two men running for office on the issues of Security, women, freedom economy, health care and foreign policy, it makes it easy to consider voting for one of them. Romney's actions (listed below) will push America into Chaos and Regress it back to Bush's 2008 America, while Obama's efforts will continue to bring stability to America.

I have never been alarmed about the future of America as Iam now. We have gone through bad times, losing jobs, foreclosure of homes, living on food stamps, budget deficit, sacrifice of thousands of Americans in wars and devastation of other nations and deaths of millions of civilians, and finally we have a grip on the situation and don't like to see a reversal of this.

On the social front, during the primaries millions of Americans were apprehensive with the harassing attitudes displayed by the candidates. The Women, Mormons, Gay and Lesbians, and Muslim in particular, Hindus and Buddhists in general are relieved, and all other Americans have welcomed this healthy change. It is a relief to see the diminishing role of religions in the general elections.

We have come a long way in accepting each new tradition with suspicion; we still have ways to go, but go, we will. Obama has put an end to that tension for these groups with his bold assertions, that were politically risky. As Americans, both Democrats and Republicans, we owe him another four years to bring full stability to every one of the Americans. No American has to feel apprehension, discomfort or fear of the other.
Obama has set in motion the process of stabilizing and we are right on the trajectory, whereas Romney is inclined to upset everything and will take us back the Bush era. Why on the earth would people want to choose Chaos over Stability?
Romney has betrayed Republican conservatives more than anyone else, had they known that he would abandon the conservative ideas just to get the bloody votes from the group of independents, they would have continued with their reservations. Essentially Romney is telling the conservative go eff yourselves, as we cannot de-nominate him now.
Romney did not spare any one, he betrayed the Moderate Republicans as well, towards the end of the primaries that carried him thus for with his moderate stance, he switched positions to appease the right to get a percentage to clutch the nomination.
Romney has ditched his base; the moderate Republicans who dumped the extremist elements of the party like Santorum, Bachman, Gingrich, Cain, Perry, Pawlenty and others to give him a hand out.

I am a moderate Republican like millions of others, but unlike others, I have chosen to speak up. It is time for fellow Republicans to save the nation from Chaos and vote for the right candidate and place loyalty to America above the party. If we have America, we have the party and not vice-versa.

No one knows which Avatar of Romney will make it, the moderate, conservative or the one for himself.
OBAMA ON WOMEN
Passed Equal pay for women act
will preserve the right of women on Abortion
will appoint judges who will honor previous Supreme Court decisions will keep government out women’s business
ROMNEY ON WOMEN
Force women from abortion even if her life is threatened
Will keep government obsessed with controlling vagina
Will appoint judges who will repeal Supreme Court’s enduring  Roe. Wade decision creating chaos
OBAMA FOR AMERICANS
Obama will not trample on anyone’s rights
Obama will represent every American
Obama held the free fall of the economy, brought stability
Obama will let the average American keep his deductions
ROMNEY FOR RICH
Romney is a business man and will do what is good for his donors he does not care about half of America, because every other person between you and I are bums.
Romney will hit those deductions will hurt average Americans
Romney will mess up the economy with his experimentation
Romney will shut down another major industry in chaos instead of resuscitating it, because he and his buddies see an opportunity to profit from other’s misery.
OBAMA ON HEALTH CARE
Obama believes a Healthy America ensures a productive America
Obama believes every American should be insured
Obama believes no American has to let their loved ones die because they cannot afford insurance
Obama believes men and women should pay the same premium
Obama believes that it is the sacred duty of the nation to protect Americans from outside attacks, and it is a sacred duty of the nation to protect Americans from bacterial attacks and keep them safe.
ROMNEY ON HEALTH CARE
Romney believes, if you cannot afford to pay, let your loved one die
Romney believes, if you have preexisting condition, that is your problem
Romney believes, America is for those who can take care of themselves
Romney believes, he will repeal the everything that brings security to Americans.
OBAMA ON EQUAL RIGHTS

Obama believes all Americans to be equal
Repealed the don’t ask don’t tell act
The Gay and Lesbian Americans will be free to live their lives and marry who they want
Obama will mind his own effing business

ROMNEY ON EQUAL RIGHTS

Romney will bring back DADT
Will annul gay marriages, creating further chaos in their lives
Romney likes to poke his nose in everyone’s business.

Women; changing the society

- Dear Aishah,

Let’s begin this;

1. A movement ought to be encouraged among women; it begins with a few on this discussion group and grows one at a time. They consciously need to imbue those values in their children that they would like to see in their men, so when they grow up, they will be respecting their family members, their daughters and their spouses.

2. Raise children doing the work at home without gendering it. My kids are raised with value for things to do at home, there is no such thing as man's job or woman's work in their mind set, and they also respect every religion without bias.

3. Mother has more influence on children than fathers, and that is why they call it mother tongue and never father's tongue. All mothers can consciously instill values of equality in their boys, and delete values of subserviency in their girls.

4. Two generations of conscious work, will change the world. But we have to remember, there will be always bad men no matter what religion they follow or what kind of raising they have, all we can do is reduce the number of such rascals through education and social pressures.

India has a lousy dowry system, even though it is outlawed, the practice has not faded away yet - the Hindu women are doused in kerosene and set to fire, the Muslim women are beaten up by their respective mother in laws. Not to gloat, American Men have killed more of their partners/ spouse in rage of fit than those combined in India and we hear about Arab women going through utter helplessness. All of us are guilty. Oppression of women or the weak or the minorities depletes the spiritual balance in a society. To have a society that is guilt free and well balanced, all humans must be respected for their god given uniqueness.

Women have come a long way since the day Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) liberated women from the shackles of men, where a woman was no more a chattel, she is on her own, she can own her properties and even given the freedom to do the opposite – do divorce men without guilt, as it was religiously sanctioned.

Think about the women that Prophet Muhammad said are the women to look up to? I would term it Model women like Asiya, Marryam Fatima….and others. None of them were social conformers, they broke away form the norms of the society to establish their own identity and assert their own being. Aishah, Roop, Sumbul and friends we need to highlight those values. A few men have opposed me for saying this, they do not want to highlight the very thing that the Prophet Admired, that is the Sunnah we need to follow.

Religion and Women

A new group in Dallas is doing very well in bringing the issues and finding answers. I have removed the names of the individuals for the sake of privacy, all it matters is the subject, no matter who says it.

I will be in town on Sunday and plan on participating;

Glad to see the group evolving and expanding, it would be nice to see different points of view.
Its good to see Tao, Hindu, Islam and Christianity have joined in so far. I will invite my Jewish, Bahai, Sikh and Zoroastrian members of the faiths to join us to give a full spectrum of views.

Religion is all about mitigating conflicts and nurturing goodwill, with a simple idea of justice and harmonius co-existence for all of creation. Justice means justice for one and all regardless of gender or any other uniqueness.

The Organizational aspect of religions were typically run by Men, and as such quite a lot of ideas were powered by them, as opposed to the spirituality and religiosity of the religion. No one had the guts to question a few aspects of the culture that was created to suit the whims of such men,
and we have perpetuated those ideas that at times appear to be relgious but find not basis in the scriptures.

Thank God for the internet, human race is given back their freedom to sort out the essence of religion and question what is presented in the name of religion, but ain't there or what is out there is propaganda.

We have to resist the temptations to claim superioririty of one faith over the other, or fight the temptation to demean other faiths. It is not a business to gain customers, it is about spirituality to bring humility, which mitigates conflicts.

I believe spirituality and arrogance are inversely proporations, higher the arrogance lower the spirituality. Arrogance such as - my faith is the best, largest, oldest, diverse or answers evey question... instead faith should inculcate humility, which kills the conficts that emanate from arrogance.

In humility,

Subject: Re: The Faith Club -Women's Issues

Welcome:

As to the questions for the next meeting on Women's Issues, I believe what we are looking for is current ideas - what do we presently believe and why. I would hope we would not be concerned about putting our religion in a "bad light" as we all know that religions continue to unfold and develop under divine guidance, or at least Christianity does, according to our sect's beliefs. As we look back, we see customs that were " bad" and "good" -- most important, we see how far we have come. Also, you do not need to answer all of the questions -- basically 1) how does your faith deal with women's issues - 2) what are the issues, if any, in your faith?

Please keep your presentation to no more than 2 pages. Do you plan to attend in person? Or just present a paper? Please submit your paper (whether you attend or not) at least 5 days before the meeting. We like to read the presentation in advance and be ready to discuss. Please send your presentation to all the individuals listed above. We now have 16 participants.

Welcome to our Faith Club, and thank you for participating!

Greetings,

Many Thanks for inviting Kalyan Ji, Hari. It will be a great honor to me as well as Rev. Marylou and all on the group. It will be nice if you include both; as we are going to take a historical perspective of the religions as well as we are looking for some absolutes, beyond - in today's day to day experiences.

You are very valuable to me, because Hinduism is the oldest of all the religions and even Quran talks about it. I lived in Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) India for 14 years in a boarding Convent - Rosary Convent on Gunfoundry, Rosary Convent and my brother20from Little Flower, he was
the first student of Little Flower when it emerged as such from All - Saints

You are welcome..
Sincerely

Hello all,

Thanks for inviting me...

The questions seem formidable indeed...!

Now I have some concerns regarding the questions themselves :

a. Naturally, each person would be inclined to present their religion in the most favorable of lights... and therefore depart from the truth.... unless one belongs to a religion about which one is either ambivalent, or even hostile...

b. Each person has a subjective understanding of their own religion, which they have acquired through whatever means - their own views are likely to be biased by that... how do we create a balanced perspective...?

c. The religions themselves have gone through major periods of evolution and renewal. Ideas that were valid at a certain time, are no longer valid... etc. So, I wonder if we are going to take a historical perspective of the religions or are we looking for some absolutes i.e. this is what is so ...and it is final for all time ?

PS: Here are the questions

We now have 4 faiths represented, Christian, Muslim, Tao & Hindu.

As taught by your religion:

1. How do you believe that women should be treated? Are they to serve man?

2. Should they feel free to discuss matters of concern with men?

3. What is the role of the father in a marriage? The mother?

4. How should women dress? Are certain types of clothing taboo?

5. Are women as important as men? Or does God/Allah ordain them to be subjugated to men?

6. Is a single-parent family sinful - especially if the woman has had a child out of wedlock?

7. Are there ritualistic practices that invade the body of young women?

8. Are there any empowerments available for women -- or is that sinful?

9. Should women own businesses?

10. Is interchange between women encouraged or discouraged?

11. Should men and women date and decide whom they will marry, or is it better or decreed that the parents will arrange marriages?
