Romney, there you go again!

http://theghousediary.blogspot.com/2012/09/romney-there-you-go-again.html

Romney: Hey Carl, did you watch the DNC convention? They had every American representation speak out there, boy, if Americans watched that they will not vote for me?

Rove: Why would you say that?

Romney: They see the damned facts; Obama saved the country from a free fall.

Rove: There you go again, you should have thought about it, we cannot accept your flip flop Mitt,  it is too late!

Ryan: Mitt Uncle, don’t worry, we will scare the devil out of Americans, we will frighten the day lights out of them, and we can win!

Romney: Paul, we can’t, it is a fact that  Obama has prevented the country from a disaster.

Rove: Mitt, leave it to me, we will dig up the flip flops of Obama and hit him hard and make him  squeal.

Romney:  Carl, don’t you dare that, I will outscore him on that count.

Ryan: Mitt Uncle, if you give up on you, why should Americans vote for you? No, you got me in this crap, let’s fight this out. We can bull through, no one will check the facts.

Rove: Let’s promise some more tax cuts, let the damned rich invest in you, pour a billion more dollars, we will flood the airwaves of this socialist creep taking over our fortunes.

Romney: Why did we mess it up in our convention? Did you see their convention, every American, every ethnicity was there, we are doomed Carl, I did not realize we were exclusive and pushed out minorities and other ethnicity.

Rove: Mitt, we did have the tokens, let’s highlight them in our spots, let the billionaires pay for it, don't you spend your money on it, we get the suckers to pay for it.

Romney: Guess what guys, let me be, me again; let's just announce
No government intervention, let people marry whom they want;
let’s not control women and their rights to own their own bodies;
let's really believe in freedom of religion,
let’s not repeal Obama care, it will kill us

Rove: Mitt, there you go again

Romney:  Damn it, their former President stood up for Obama!

Rove: Shhhhhh, don’t you bring that up, sorry to cut you in.

Romney: Why can’t Bush do that for me? After all I have all his gang working for me.

Rove: There you go again, Mitt. You don't get it, do you! Let's rally our base, frighten them that Obama will give away the country to United Nation.

Romney: Public knows, that is not true unless both the house support it!

Rove: Mitt, Public does not know it, they believe those who scare them, and those who promised them the safety and secured of mother's lap.

Dialogue continues........

Severe Questions for Romney

Republican Presidential nominee, Mitt Romney did deliver a good speech; indeed I remained connected with him throughout the speech. It sounded great, but not sure if it is merely a talk like Obama’s good talk four years ago.
Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney - Republican nominess

I have some sever questions for Mr. Romney, his answers might change the minds of many like me, I am a Moderate Republican who has reluctantly chosen to vote for Obama, not because he is any better, but because he will do least harm to the nation between the two of them. I wish I had more choices.

I shudder with the thought of America, had McCain become the president, I know Mr. McCain’s proclivities and itching for war,  and eagerness to show them boys who we are, he would have gone to war with Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, Egypt and Syria. No doubt Libya would have been carpet bombed and burned to the ground, but it would have ruined America, more than the Iraq war has done to us. At least I have an America now that did not run aground with Obama's foreign policy.

Do you know what the useless wars have done to us?  Not you Mr. Romney, you are secure in your safe havens, but a majority of Americans are not - 43 Million of us.  McCain would have destroyed all of Libya and Egypt, but more than that he would have destroyed us Americans in order to get just one idiot Gaddafi or save one dictator Mubarak. Thank God, we have a president who got the looney Bin Laden without the collateral damage to anyone. Can you outperform Obama in Syria and Iran?

Mr. Romney, you are itching for a war with Iran, and to gain momentary support from a few, you will destroy everyone in the process including our allies. We have a history of setting up that precedent ten years ago. When was the last time CIA or Mossad had provided absolutely reliable information to justify a damned war?

War will do more harm to us than the ones we intend to afflict, unless they are just wars like preventing Nazis from annihilating Jews, preventing Serbs from cleansing Muslims and preventing Saddam form usurping Kuwait.  Spend that damned money in friendships instead of aggravating hostilities and keeping everyone in tension. When we are friends, we are less likely to harm the other, but when we are enemies, both of us will have the will to be evil.
Your success is inspiring, and I hope it will be replicated around America.  However, I have a few severe questions for you.
  • Mitt, will you truly run America as a business?
  • Mitt, do you know when to fold and when to run?
  • Mitt, would you go to a war if it means deaths of thousands of fellow Americans?
  • Mitt, would you let a war run up our debt and deficits and ruin the nation?
  • Mitt, would you cut our allies off, if they become a burden on us?
  • Mitt, would you honor the inalienable rights of individual whom they marry?
  • Mitt, would you preserve the in-alienable rights of women, should they decide not to carry the baby out of incest or rape?
  • Mitt, would you stand up for every American’s freedom of Religion?
  • Mitt, do you have the balls to change the Republican platform?
  • Mitt, would you let an American die because he or she cannot afford to pay?
  • Mitt, are you another politician in the guise of a business man?
  • Mitt, how do I know you will do all this?
Mitt, I am not sure if I can trust you with people’s lives, because life is not a business.

Texas Faith : Do Republicans have an Ayn Rand problem?

The problem Republicans have is “a policy coup by some hardnosed people,” in the words of Gen. Wesley Clark.  The right among Republicans is attempting to take over the direction of this country and pushing for policies that will break the cohesive fabric of America.

Texas Faith : Do Republicans have an Ayn Rand problem?

Paul Ryan’s selection as the Republican vice presidential nominee has put Ayn Rand back into the spotlight. Ryan was picked in large part because he’s the architect of a budget that demands lower taxes and smaller government and, more to the point, anticipates a shifting emphasis from government to the   individual. Ryan has credited Rand as a source of his political thought. He has said Rand’s philosophy was “sorely needed right now” and “Ayn Rand did more than anybody to build a moral case for capitalism, the morality of individualism, and this to me is what matters most.”

Rand argued that altruism is immoral and selfishness is good. She was a champion of unbridled markets and limited government. She was an atheist who denounced religion as the enemy of reason and she advanced the idea of an unlimited laissez-faire capitalism in which the rich prospered in a   social Darwinian universe. Emboldened by the Tea Party, many Republican leaders like Ryan have proposed a fundamental dismantling of the nation’s social safety net in a way that would make Rand proud. But many Tea Party advocates are strong Christian conservatives who would be appalled by Rand’s anti-Christian views.

Here’s the thing: By embracing Rand, Paul Ryan touts a philosophy that is tightly knit and carefully constructed in which the pieces fit neatly together. In Rand’s world, if you believe in objectivism, there’s no room for a little government collectivism. One precludes the other. Take out one piece and it all falls apart.

So can leaders who are strong believers in Rand’s philosophy advocate self-interest and   community obligation in the same breath? How do you make a “moral case” for the individual and individual rights in a way that’s ethically justifiable? Do Republicans have an Ayn Rand problem?

Our Texas Faith panel weighs in:

MIKE GHOUSE, President, Foundation for Pluralism, Dallas
The problem Republicans have is “a policy coup by some hardnosed people,” in the words of Gen. Wesley Clark.  The right among Republicans is attempting to take over the direction of this country and pushing for policies that will break the cohesive fabric of America.

As individuals, we do not function entirely on our own abilities; we are inter-dependent and interconnected.  Without a consumer the manufacturer will fail, without a patient a doctor has no job, and without a healthy society the productivity of a nation suffers, and the rich will not get richer. We don’t need any one when we are doing well with our health and a reliable income. In Ayn Rand’s ideal world, the fittest will survive.

What happens if we are not fit?  Who is not vulnerable to the Nile virus, floods, fires, disasters, diseases, and the economic depression?

The defining moment about individualism and collectivism came when Ron Paul was asked, “Congressman, are you saying that society should just let him die?” His response was health care was a mercy of the community and not a right. A political commercial depicted Romney to be responsible for the death of a lady whose family could not afford insurance to treat her cancer.

None of us would have survived the Holocaust, genocides, massacres, persecution and ethnic cleansing if it was entirely the formula of Ayn Rand. If you are not willing to stand up for others, why should anyone stand up for you?

At the end, the Republican Party does have a serious Ayn Rand problem by virtue of their silence against the policy coup by a few. They have two mouths – one talks about freedom and the other wants to take away choices from a woman about her body; one talks about individual liberties while the other rips that right from gay couples marrying each other, and one talks about freedom of religion and the other passes laws restricting Muslims to practice their religion.

Indeed, we need to find a balance between the individual and individual rights in a way that’s ethically, morally justifiable.

When Justice Roberts rendered a decision in favor of Obama care, I welcomed the decision as a moderate Republican, and instantaneously many Republicans found a way out and echoed my sentiments. They may be silent, but they have spoken against extremism in the ballot. Ryan is a new throw in the basket; if he was in the primaries, he probably would have been rejected like the other divisive men and women.

Romney digs his own grave

Instead of figuring out how to get out of the labels, Romney digs in his heels and reaffirms that he is what people perceive him to be; a rich man for the rich by the rich.

Romney has gathered Bush people around him reaffirming his false belief that the Neoconism is good for America. Indeed, it was the Neocons who have screwed America badly with budget deficits, WMD’s and useless wars - The guys like Romney are all doing fine, it is the average American who is suffering; the one without a job, the one who has lost his home and the one who is losing his family members due to lack of insurance.

With Paul Ryan as his running mate, Romney has assured the Americans that he is Bush in Sheep’s clothing.

There is a huge Hispanic voter’s gap and Rubio was to give him a lift. Now Romney has effectively told the Hispanics, screw you, I can do without you.

It is not about rich or poor, it is a shame that Rich get to pay less than their proportionate share. Paying 14% of GAI is not right, while the average joe or mary pays 30%.

Romney is bombarded with his “don’t give a shit about poor” attitudes, with Paul Ryan, the man who wants to give a break to the rich, Romney has affirmed the belief that the average American does no matter to him.

He is on to a head on collision with Obama by not releasing his tax returns. He is no match for the communication skills of Obama - who is as good a communicator as Reagan and Clinton. Obama will laugh and throw Romney off the pedestal in the debates.

Picking Ryan is going into a self destruct operation.

I am a Republican, a moderate one, and hate to see an imbalance coming up in the house and senate. As an American I don’t like to see Democratic or Republican Party to have a monopoly in all the three branches of Government, it leads to bad and evil consequences, we need to preserve checks and balances.

We need to keep the simple majority of Democrats in the Senate, and slash the Republican majority in the house down to simple majority. Let the idiots fight it out, and bring the best for the Americans instead of slam dunking bills.
